3 New Kitchen Color Trends for 2019

While neutral-colored kitchens may never leave the spotlight, 2019 might just be the year that darker hues make a comeback. We like to incorporate some of the fun, fresh color trends and help our clients discover their personal style, while also considering classic kitchen features. 1. Southwestern Vibes

If you’re looking for a way to warm up your kitchen – and maybe an excuse to buy more cute cacti – this trend might be for you. We’re starting to see orange-tinted palettes creep onto kitchen walls, with a terracotta color being the most popular choice. Terracotta is a great option as it is a more muted version of orange and definitely brings southwestern vibes. If you’re one of the many homeowners that painted their walls grey in the past 5 years and you’re not ready to part from it, fear not, terracotta will fit right in. Try incorporating hints of orange in accent pieces like your kitchen island or cabinets.

2. Deep Blues and Greens

2019 is your year to be bold! We’re starting to see a shift away from the all-white kitchen, so if you’re ready to add in some bold colors, consider painting your cabinetry a deep navy or a rich green. Want to start even smaller? Why not paint your pantry door navy, and pair it with hardware in a warm gold color? This is a great option for those of us that are ready for some color but not quite ready to commit to painting the walls.

3. Natural Whites

So maybe the all-white trend isn’t quite over yet, but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring. If you’re still feeling “neutrals” for your kitchen, upgrade your stark white with a warm, brown-grey-tinted white. Mushroom neutrals, bone colors, and oatmeal whites are making a splash because they add a creamy feel that isn’t quite as bright as the stark white we’ve been seeing so much of in years past.
